I’m currently on the faculty of the Media Arts division of University College, Tulane University, where I teach courses in creative non-fiction, literary journalism and feature writing. I’ve been trying to do my small part toward giving literary non-fiction a steady footing in the canon through these courses, which emphasize sustained, close readings of seminal non-fiction works as a necessary primer for good writing.
